In an ambitious move to influence Bihar's political landscape, JD(U) leader Nishant Kumar is set to kick off the 'Sadbhav Yatra' on May 3 in Bagaha. This initiative aims to connect with the grassroots and lay the groundwork for progress and unity within the state.
Patna: JD(U) leader Nishant Kumar has decided to embark on a statewide “Sadbhav Yatra” in a phased manner, beginning with a two-day stay in Bagaha in West Champaran district from May 3. He will interact with grassroots workers in the presence of local MPs, legislators and party functionaries, aiming to shape the future course of the state’s politics.The second leg of the yatra will be held in Vaishali district on May 7. “We will announce in advance the schedule of each tour,” party state president and MLA Umesh Singh Kushwaha told reporters at the party headquarters on Tuesday.Kushwaha said the yatra was intended to give “a new direction to the state’s conditions and politics.” He was accompanied by senior leaders, including Sanjay Kumar Gandhi, Lalan Kumar Sarraf, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad and Neeraj Kumar.

Kushwaha added he, JD(U) legislature party leader Shrawan Kumar and other senior leaders would attend meetings addressed by Nishant. “The times are changing in the state and a new era is also about to dawn. The new leader is already around to give a new direction to the three or four-decade-old politics of the state,” Kushwaha said.“Today, entire Bihar is looking up to the new leader, who can take all sections with him along the path of development, social harmony and good governance, as his father and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar did. There is palpable excitement among the people and the party workers. Nishant carries in him the ‘sanskar’ given by his father,” he said.Kushwaha added Nishant has chosen Champaran as the starting point, like his father, and the yatra vehicle carries the slogan ‘Nyay Ke Saath Vikas’.
